I used 1:2 dektol and some, but not all of my fomatone prints had a peach colored stain.
I have used this paper before in the same chemicals and not had the issue.

Did I overdevelop? I aim for 2minutes, but even if I accidentally left them in too long it wouldn't have been longer than 5 minutes.

I used kodak indicator stop and rapid fixer 1:7.

Has anyone seen this before or know what I did to cause it?

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

Ian thank you.

I'll have to watch the timer on the stop bath more carefully..

Might be dichroic fog. I had this with polywarmtone which required thorough fixing.
That stain disappeared in light.

Stop bath is a brief einse, too long and you may well stain the paper base with the indicator dye.

Any pink emulsion that's not fixed properly will go grey once exposed to light, and your right Andreas Polywarmtone does need thorough fixing. Aaron, ideally you should use 2 bath fixing with the Fomatone paper.

When does the stain first appear?

I would suspect insufficient fixing.

I had a similar problem with Amidol Developer. In my case it happened at the development stage and could well have been that the developer was too warm. If you want to test the stop bath you could try mixing a bath of citric acid stop bath or make your own without indicator.

I used the darkroom again with the same chemicals and different paper. Last time only the Foma papers had the issue. I used Arista Private Reserve papers this time.

2 bath fixing was the answer.

The only print to show the same peach staining was also the only print fixed in just the first fix bath. Splitting the fixer into two trays worked like a charm. Thank you all for your amazingly timely replies and suggestions.

Cheers,
Aaron
