Yes but some people are on water meters or wells.

If you drain the tank reasonably carefully 5, 10, 20, 30 is overkill, hypo removal is important.

The Hypo clear I use is overkill too but we are not having water conservation issues.

to avoid confusion,Iwas referring to a simple wash aid not a hypo eliminator,which is indeed overkill or worse.
