It's purely my own idiosyncrasy, but I wince slightly at putting a pinhole over a lens as not being a tr-r-r-r-rue pinhole camera!
I have made a body cap pinhole adapter for my Bronica SQ-A, that seems acceptable (to my aging brain) because there the pinhole is the sole optical path.
Eh, but that's just me. I do wonder if putting a tiny aperture that far forward in a multi-element lens may bring out the worst -- but hey, it can't be too hard to find out!
Sort of related... I once took a lens cap that fit over my viewing lens on my 2.8F and cut a hole in the center that was approximately f8.5 so I could put it on for depth of field precheck.
It actually sort of worked though I got a bit of vignetting.
