Nice pictures!

I note they are all scanned paper prints.
Anyone that has experience scanning these negatives? Have no darkroom any longer, so scanner is my option.

Anyone tried accessing the pictures lately? I clicked and landed in the Scandinavian group and it's all about LF sales in Danish.

Erik, I have never tried scanning sub-mini negs , should be possible though with a modified neg holder.

Murray, I am able to access pictures without any problems going through the "Group Tools" feature. Is this what you are using?

Steve, I am just using the screen picts and click on that. 'Group Tools' doesn't come up on my screen.
As for scanning I have one that allegedly does 4800 ppi but it's like watching grass grow. I tape the strip to the glass at each end and go from there. Should probably use black paper or tape down the sides.

OK, Iantoz, I found it. The very first page: the gallery with the messages underneath. Look up on right to 'Add Pictures" and it's immediately above that.

Sorry about that guys, I guess I am the only one who has group tools since I started the gruop page.

OK, now I have found it, but I am only able to view two pictures, but on a positive note that's two more than before.

Steve, saw your shop front photo in the Minox Historical Soc where you got honorable mention!

Well done! Hope my new film in my B gives me better results than the first one, nearly 40 yo. Fogged completely. Have reloaded with PolyPan F. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Murray, the folks over at MHS have a great thing going. They have put a lot of work/research into the history of the Minox.

I have just posted a few of my recently developed 110 photos, I am pleased with my efforts, but my modified negative holder for the scanner still needs work.
Apart from that for a first effort I can say that it all went well.

Please feel free to comment on any aspect of my efforts.

I'm quite impressed with the pictures, just as with the other pictures uploaded here, the tech quality is amazing for such tiny negatives, and for whats in them, you show great taste.

I'm intrigued by your modified negative holder for the scanner and look forward of pictures of that too!

Very good, Dai. The second one looks like the old machinery at Hermansburg. I presume you scanned CN? I confess to having 3 or 4 cameras ready to go but the 110 gets forgotten every time. :-(

Murray, the second shot is an old wagon at Marree, it's there with Tom Kruse's old truck, the small one he used.
I'm not familiar with CN, I have a plustek Opticfilm 7200, and somehow ended up with negatives that I inverted with Photoshop.
I really need to get back into all of this scanning.
I notice some slight scratches on the a couple of the negs, that's from the negholder, I have to rethink the set up. I have some ideas that I'm going to try out.
But as I said it's an encouraging first effort.

Erik, thanks for your input, the neg holder is a little tricky as I kept the plastic fingers across the negs (it's a 35mm holder, the fingers mark the frame edge).
I left them there to hold the negs flat, the problem is that when I move the neg strip in the holder it scratches the negs.

I'll keep you up to date.
Did you get rid of the 50mm lens?

I have just added a photo taken locally, I just love these little cameras.
I am hoping for better results with a modified neg holder and better (more informed on my part) scanner techniques.

Dai, sorry to confuse you but by CN I meant CN-41 ie colour negative film. You didn't actually state IIRC, what the film is.
The Plustek has attracted me for a long time but you're the first owner I've met.
What are your thoughts on this scanner? I hesitate to buy yet another scanner for fear of spending so much brass and getting no better than I can get with the 4800/9600 flatbed from Aldi. My pictures were scanned from the film with that scanner at 4800.
Like everyone, getting the film flat and framed is the headache. I finally taped it down with electrical tape for the session in my frustration. One scanner wouldn't even acknowledge there was a piece of film there! I blame that on the packaged software. Then there were railway lines down the entire length that weren't actually there.
All this leads me to seek a digital camera copy arrangement that has been talked about on some lists. Rough tests encourage me to go further.

Murray, the film is Kodak Pan-x 125 asa. cut from 35mm film stock.

What attracted me to the plustek is the software, SilverFast it's a German company and they update on a regular basis.

A 110 negative holder was made and sold in the US but at a very high price US$80 from memory. I've been unable to source any second hand and it seems that even new it is no longer available.

The developing I've been doing of late has been very hit and miss, until I found an application for my iTouch, it gives developing times for all combinations of film and developers, and takes all the inconsistencies out of my fumbling and also provides the timers for the whole process. I find it invaluable.
I have my Minolta auto zoom to play with now and 400asa film.

Steve, I am having trouble, still, viewing your posted images. I am directed to a Danish speaking LF sales place here on APUG and it is the same one every time.
Mørkekammerudstyr sælges to be precise. As group leader, could it be there is some mix-up in the place your images point to if we try and see them in their full glory?

Translated that is Darkroom equipment for sale............ Man if I had a bigger house!.........(it would be filled with MORE stuff !)

That is one danisk friend offering his darkroom equipment for sale, and another offering advice on better put sales ads in the appropiate section here at APUG.

I experience the same hitting the images, trying to get a better look at them.

I have posted 5 photographs that I took while in Brisbane.
I developed them in Rodnal 1+50 and I am still not satisfied with the quality.
My developing is still not good enough and the next thing I am going to try is developing in Caffenol+C.

The canon photo's are also disappointing compared to the Pentax.

As always any comments gladly received.

I do like the images. My whole attraction to the submini format is the distortion/high grain these cameras produce. If these were my images, I would most likley print them with a lith developer, especially the palms image. For me, the lith really brings out what I am trying to convey when using this format. When I set up a shot, I am thinking this process for end results.
Just my 2 cents.
