It is a genre as interesting as any other.
I think they can be fascinating.
I would argue it is WAY More Interesting than another photo of F'ing "Rocks and Trees"

I've found some rocks to have more personality than some people...and trees look better photographed with IR film than people

Without really knowing, i assumed you were in the general area of Vietnam.?
But when i hit your location, it takes me to a restaurant in South San Jose, USA, CA
