I have a chance to get a Fotar 10x10 enlarger, from what I can find in search its a 'horizontal' enlarger (I assume you expose across as opposed to top down), and from the description

"stands 8"3'' tall and the enlarging table is 32 deep X 44 wide"

So..... I'm wondering, does anyone have a picture of this kind of beast or some points involving the usage of such?

An odd coincidence.
Years ago, as a commercial photographer, I photographed the Fotar horizontal enlarger at their factory for their sales brochures. Sadly, I can't easily put my hands on the tranparencies or I would post them for you. The horizontal was used for doing BIG prints, required a lot of space and would probably be inconvenient for normal enlarging

The horizontal that I photographed was nowhere near 8 feet tall and it projected on the wall. From the description, it sounds like they may be referring to the Fotar vertical 10x10. I have used this enlarger extensively at a couple of different labs. I loved It. Their stuff is superbly made.

Definitely get more info

"This one is double diffused using a dome to bounce the light indirectly to the lens and an opal piece of glass above the lens. It is a verticle piece of equipment."

it sounds like maybe a fotar chasis with a HK head.

the fotar chasis is the best 8x10 / 10x10 vertical machine by far. The head sounds like an HK, but the description lacks the specifics of a name or photograph.

I have worked with a closed loop HK head, and I don't like closed loop anyting.

If you need a photo of a fotar chasis, I can manage, I have 4  let me know.
