Thanks for the help to this point everyone. Ended up coming with a Schneider 150mm 4.5 xenar instead of the voigtlander but I can swap later if I like.

Have a couple of questions...

Where can I find a back to cover the ground glass! Tried googling and eBay but have no idea what they're called :/

Also the shutter on the lens is closed and I don't know how to open for focusing... works fine otherwise so I think there's something I'm missing?

To open for viewing, cock shutter, press in button above shutter speed window, fire shutter.

Great thanks! When the seller was showing me how the camera works he had another lens on it so I never looked through this one...

Looks like a great camera. Is there not a switch on the shutter to allow you go back and forth between shooting and focusing? Is the aperture open all the way, too? If it's closed all the way down you may not be able to see anything on the ground glass is the shutter is open and it's too dark for anything to show up on the ground glass. I don't have any direct experience with that lens/shutter, sorry I can't give specifics. Hope that you get it figured out.

The collapsible focusing hood (Part Number: 23542) will be very difficult to find. May take months of searching e-bay, but eventually one may turn up. Most view camera users prefer a darkcloth anyway. So, even if you find the hood, you may have difficulty focusing without the Horseman extended focus loupe (Part Number: 25614), and prefer the darkcloth also.

I use the focus hood and extended loupe, but I have been collecting Horseman equipment since 2006.

Yeah I saw that. I'm mainly interested In The swinging door for protection though. Is that supposed to be one piece with the back where the glass mounts? Noticed there's some screws missing there

No comment on the back. Its time you learned to feed yourself.

Re binocular viewers, see: Dead Link Removed

I've played with Emmanuel Bigler's little 2x3, sorry, 6x9, Arca Swiss with a binocular reflex viewer and use one on my 4x5 Cambo. I love 'em but ic-racer is right, many don't.

Hehe ok. it looks like the metal shards i was lokking at could just be metal that wasnt filed down after it came out og the cast. Anyone have a picture of the inside corners of the ground glass attachment?
