Picked up a Konica Autoreflex A3 on the cheap

Based on what I've read, it's a T3 or T series without a self timer and some other bells and whistles. A few blogs liked the Hexanon 50mm 1.7, too. I just loaded it with Portra 400 and we'll see. The meter works, but I won't be replacing that battery. I don't need to use it in AE mode and I have external metering if I want it.

Anyone else have experience with this camera?

 
When in college I had a T and a A as second body, the A3 is the stripped T3, solid body, Konica glass is some of the best, the 1.7 looks to be a latter model, still a great 50 mm. I had the 55 1.2, one of the few lens I miss. The Konica 28 2.8 and 135 3.5 are inexpensive and razor sharp.
 
Nice. If the first few rolls go well, I'll be looking for more lenses on ebay and perhaps a way to adapt them to my Sony a7II, as well.

 
In the 80s Konica came out with a set of economy lens, a 28, 135 and 200, make sure you get the better quality lens.
 
Thanks - I'll be on the lookout. I usually obsess over reviews, first. But in the case of this Konica, I just narrowed it down to the one affordable film camera that was still working in the shop

T and T3 show up on Shopgoodwill.com quite often, just check out the shipping before bidding. I have a T3 and T4 with winder, a 50mm 1.4 and 1.7 28 3.5 135 3.5 and 200 4, the latter models have build in winders. Lens you might want to check out are the 40mm 1.8, got really reviews in the day from Pop and Modern Photography, the 100 is good glass as is the 85 1.8. I usually shoot Minolta but I still rate the 50mm 1.7 as sharper than my Minolta 50 1.8 AF.
 
That 40mm 1.8 is intriguing! It looks like I can pick one up for between $40 and $80! I have 80's Minolta glass I'm not really using anymore except the beercan 70-210 once in a while, so if this is better/cheaper.. sort of a no brainer!
