We're going to attempt our major upgrades this weekend. This is a complete re-build of the entire site which has been in the works for a long time, and great care has been taken to maintain our current look and feel so you do not need to re-learn any main functions. We're going from 1.5.x version to 2.2.8 The improvements are too many to list, but we'll provide some more details on that soon.
My goal is to have as little down time as possible (10-15hrs initially) and get the core functions up and running on day one. The first day should have us back up and running with at least forums, galleries, classifieds. The coming days will see additional areas open and some improved functionality beginning to appear.
Expect things to be a little bumpy for a few days. We'll be taking extensive backups incase we need to back out of the attempt (based on our dev environment work, we don't anticipate having any issues). During the outage I will setup a basic chatroom if members want to chat.
This work is being done by myself and our code hero Clément in France. Due to lack of resources, sometimes these upgrades can be a bit seat of the pants/rip off the bandaid, but we will get there in the end. The last major upgrade I was up for over 3 days straight, but I'm not a youngin anymore so we will do our best and sleep when needed! Our line by line upgrade plan is around 8 pages long, so unfortunately it's not like simply running an update on your laptop.

**UPDATE**
PHOTRIO will be rolling out a major upgrade starting around 10am this Friday Eastern Daylight Time (USA GMT-4). The site may be completely inaccessible for 12-24hrs. When the site is locked, you will be prompted with a username and password box, this will not work, but the description on the box will give you a web address to visit a temporary chatroom.
