Photowarehouse Finesse 100 and 400 what are chances

Another paranoid thought, I am begin to think that Finesse 100 and 400 are both Double X sold as one stop under and one stop over.

Should be easy to test if they're the same film (which I highly doubt - retailers can be stupid, but not THAT stupid). Much more difficult to ascertain what they are however. Probably kentmere or so. Maybe even Foma.

Sprockets look to be made for movie film, it shoots really well at 200, at 100, highlights are blown. I noticed that there are times for the 400 version none for the 100. Last roll I used double X times, 200 D76 1:2 11 minutes, spot on.

Shoot some frames under identical conditions on both kinds of film (or all 3 if you want to compare the 100, 400 and the plusX), process identically, then compare results. Some basic densitometry even with a flatbed scanner will do the trick; perhaps ogling with a good loupe or microscope covers the rest. It's not a whole lot of testing to eliminate the conjecture. Perhaps 2 hours of work if you're somewhat efficient about it.

That's my plan, so far I've shot at 100 and 200, will shoot a short roll of 100 at 400 and use double X times for push in D76. As it is only available a bulk load can shoot at few as 4 or 5 frames.

Odds are if they have movie sprockets then it is ORWO. If they were selling XX then they would say and charge a lot more for it. ORWO reformulated the 400 at some point changing the name.

Given the price point of both films and how the dev times they have on their site is the same as Foma, I'm pretty sure it's repackaged Foma 100 & 400.

Like Patrick said, if it was rebadged Kodak it would be priced higher (a 100' roll alone for Double X on their website is ~$100, so UF's "version" would probably be low $90's).
A big maybe on it being Orwo, if they (Orwo) were getting clearing out old UN54 (100 iso) & UN74 (400 iso) stock they had way back in the freezer, though their 100' rolls for those films are ~$75. UN74 has been discontinued for a couple years by now (no longer showing on their NA website), and the UN54 is low in stock on their NA site.

All the Foma I've seen has Ultra on the edge. Orwa 400, maybe the 100 is old stock and the 400 is new stock?

Can you post a picture of the sprocket holes? Are they the slightly rounded BH perforations? Just curious because Post #110 on this thread seems to show "standard" perforations:

I haven't tried Ultrafine Finesse, but I have used ORWO N74+ before, which has the rounded BH cinema film perforations, as well as edge markings:
