Hi Evgeny,
I have the latest model PhotoTherm SSK RGH8. The SSK 4 is the smaller version of the one i have. They are excellent machines and i would recommend them to anyone.
Almost everything is controllable through the programmers interface built into the machine. PhotoTherm also provides great support. They have been very helpful with any questions I have had. For B&W, PhotoTherm only recommends Tmax developer at 1:5. I find that it works great for everything from 35mm to 4x5.
I have also used the machine to process my E6 and C41. The results are great. They are designed for ultra repeatability and consistency.
The machine is designed to be used on a table or a stand. They are not very small. You will need room to store the chemical bottles below the unit.
Check out
http://www.phototherm.com/ for more information on the unit and accessories. The manual is on there site with full diagrams and instructions for use.
The prices for used unit that i have seen can range from $300-1500. You will have to look at your lab bills and see if it is a good financial decision for you.
Make sure that it has the tube with the spindle. At least 4 35mm plastic reels. They can expand to 120mm. For 120/220 development, you will need what PhotoTherm calls a film clamp. They are a white piece of plastic that fits over the ned of the film after you load it onto the reel. Without it, the film can come off the reel during development.
It should also have the chem tanks with tubing, and 2 large ones for waste and water.
If you have anymore questions, please let me know.
Best,
