It would be interesting to find what photos that you have made that you would keep if you could choose only 4. Please post them for all to see.

Good grief! First they’re taking away all my cameras save one and now all my photos too?

It’s just too much to fathom.

Aren't you confusing this with Sharia law where a Muslim man can have up to four wives? Choosing four in either case would be difficult for most people.

Mine would be the selection already being displayed on my mantelpiece and wall above it. They're not the most challenging of photos, but mean the world to me. All pictures of my closest, nearest and dearest.

Guitar Portrait
by Narsuitus, on Flickr

This candid portrait is a personal favorite. I captured the artist between recording sessions at the KEOS 89.1 FM radio station in Bryan, Texas.

I do not understand why the image is not visible in my post.

If I could only keep four photos, they would all be of my family. I don't post those online, sorry!

I think I could find three of my favorites of my own work, but for the 4th I would have to beg one from Macfred (but I'd be hard pressed to settle for just ONE of his or to select which one).

Or maybe 2 of my own, one of Macfred's and a copy of one of Richard Avedon's prints of The Chicago Seven I saw in Tuscon last spring.

No, you don't want me ... :wondering:

If I could only keep 4 photographs, there would be need of continuing to make photographs.

None of my photographs are of extreme worth in and of themselves. Their values are generally related to their meaning to me. In other words, I am either an artiste, or more likely just not very good.

I don't really consider this a topic I am prepared to explore, but it does bring up the issue as to how many of the 40K+ and rising images on my computer are worth saving. As I get older, I find that the images I most want to save are frequently the least artistic images, and probably of the least interest to others.
