I think We need cheapest but best lenses with a production technology for the crowds. No high heat would be allowed to manufacture glasses , no grinding but injection molding and high refractive index , low abbe number polymers doped with organics to form an photopolymer which would be subject to dynamic holograms and abberation corrections with transmission holograms.
I applied to uspto to form lenses in photopolymers with a cube of photopolymer and an hologram at the edge and beam an 3d hologram in to mass which could stay for hours or seconds with the decision of owner and the second laser beam. This will be the endless amount of 3d mass difference of refraction index in mass
