To anyone who is interested in the history of Photography, mainly regarding colour photography, have a look at this site.

Includes:-

History of Ilford Ltd,
The beginnings of Kodacolor and Ektacolor negative films and the early processing and printing of Kodacolor.
The Pavelle colour print kits as were sold in the U.K. in the 1960s and other Paterson products.
Some info on very early Agfacolor,
Johnsons of Hendon and Phototechnology plus short histories of many other companies involved in early colour photography and colour printing.

This is an excellent site, with a mine of information on it. Very easy to find your way around the site and many good photographs of early materials/products to see.

See: www.photomemorabilia.co.uk

Very nice web site and well organized and presented.

Some of the data is speculation, and this is stated on the web site. The information given as speculation is actually incorrect in some cases and correct in others simply from the lack of published information. There are many details missing.

For example, there are probably over 14 variations in color paper from its inception at EK until the present day. There were many more processes and process variations than are indicated, including the change from CD2 to CD3, the change from a quinone bleach to a ferricyanide bleach and then the change to a blix.

So, the site is excellent as an overview or outline, but one must be aware of the gaps and the speculation.

I have outlined the history of color paper in another thread here.
