NPR photojournalist David Gilkey and interpreter Zabihullah Tamanna were killed in a Taliban ambush yesterday.

I'm very sorry to hear this, these war photographers are real heroes and heroines, it's bad enough being in a war zone as an armed trained soldier, but these guys are completely unarmed and so vulnerable but it's a risk they chose to take.
