Anyone know of anything? I see one 3-hour workshop at the SF Center for the Book but nothing else. Especially interested in any of the various "non-toxic" (less toxic?) processes, including any and all of the SolarPlate etc.

Hey Darin,
I did a great 3 day workshop with Unai San Martin over at Smith Anderson in San Anselmo. What a great experience it was. I came away with a couple of gravures that I'm very happy with. I know Rich signed up for the next one, I'm not sure if it's happened yet. Rory

As Rory says I have signed up. It's happening in April. I think it's limited to 3-4 people though and might be sold out. Give them a call.

The Unai San Martin one looks tempting but isn't it traditional photogravure?

Yep, Unai's is copper plate gravure, I guess I didn't read your post as closely as I might have.
I'm not sure of any other gravure classes here but I have done letterpress and book making at SFCFB and it's a great facility, if they do a polymer gravure class or something similar I'm sure it would be good.

Mark Nelson has a couple coming up in Sausalito, one in April and one in Oct., if you aren't familiar, these are digital positive, polymer plate gravure. Looks like Mark is updating his site so here are to links, one to the workshop page on his PDN site and one to his contact info personal site. If this looks like something your interested in it's probably best to email him for more info.
