Photogravure (copper) Workshop in San Francisco Bay Area CA April 17-21

Unai San Martin and I have scheduled a photogravure workshop for April 17-21, Tues-Sat. at Smith Andersen North in San Rafael, CA. The class is from 10 am - 5pm with a 45 minute lunch break. The workshop fee includes all materials except paper and copper. This is charged at cost. You will each get to etch 2- 8x10" plates, 7x9" after trimming. Most of the plates will be exposed with an aquatint screen but we will also demo the dustgrain aquatint process with one or two of the plates. The workshop is limited to 5 participants in CA.

Reservations are made first-come first-serve with a an e-mail and a 50% deposit which is non-refundable. The balance of the class fee is due the first morning of class or before. Materials are tallied up on the last day. Please respond soon as space is limited and pass this along to anyone who may be interested in attending. Once we have everyone lined up we will be in touch about good image selection for gravure. Images can be digital or scanned from film and all the positives will be printed digitally.
