Decided to see a couple shows in the boonies of Durham.....

This was a juried exhibition by the Pineridge Arts Council. Photographers are all locals and really love photography a la camera club. All digital to be expected.

Then and Now: Oshawa at Play at the Robert McGlaughlin Gallery is a collaboration with the Oshawa Senior's Camera Club. Photos from the gallery archives of years past are juxtaposed against pics taken of recent events of the same or similar nature. Gets the old folks out and about.

I wasn't expecting something good to be honest, but i really liked this show. More than a travelogue. These images are personal and provide a positive social commentary off the tourist beaten path.
