APUGers,
Shutterclank! is a photography collective that produces an eponymous magazine featuring traditional and alternative process photographers. We are celebrating the release of our second issue of the magazine in conjunction with a photographic exhibition "Innocence Lost" at the Brooklyn Artists Gym in Brooklyn, NY on December 03, 2011.
Some friends and I created a photography magazine called Shutterclank! because of some long conversations about the art of photography and the printed material. We are photographers and desire for our medium to be considered art. We love film and DIY, so we endeavor to find other photographic artists akin to us. The people who just could not get the smell of fixer out of their heads and had to come back to this gorgeous art form. It is pretty unique because we independently publish film and alternative process photographers. The polaroids. Silver halide photography. Wet plate collodions. We plan to share, and that is the whole purpose of the collective. We think that we are finding and sharing some gorgeous art, but want to let the public be the judge.
The featured artists are:
Melitte Buchman
Jake Reinhart
Jesse Untracht-Oakner
Kate Contakos
Joe Gerhard
Chris Schuster
They can decide and judge at:
