photographers of landscape in black and white

A big DITTO here concerning Steve's work, having seen it up close and personal.

Mitch Dobrowner is an up and comer http://mitchdobrowner.com/
While his pictures are stunning to look at he shoots and prints digital. What can we say if we are asked "how can I print like Mitch Dobrowner?
Jeez, you're right! I never looked to see how he did his work. NEVER MIND - scratch him from the list

Thomas Joshua Cooper -- but he would be difficult as a role model. It is tough being that passionate, verbose, and good.

If you're looking for something more like Ansel Adams, Clyde Butcher is a good fit.

Mit Dobrowner's work is a bit over-worked for me to find satisfying. I know Roman Loranc's work is heavily done too, but somehow its much easier live with.

Ryuijie is another worth looking at.

Great thread. I'm finding out some great photographers which I've never seen their work. Always someone new to add to my list of favorites.

I was just looking at his site and feel the same way. Overdone, too much contrast, almost hard to enjoy. The scenes are spectacular though.

I have a question about professional presentation: how many pictures should people include in a gallery/sub-gallery? 34 pictures of storms seemed like a lot to me. Maybe I'm being over critical.
