Photographer Leon Frantzis
The photographer Leon Frantzis (1889-1965) was familiar to actors of the Greek National Theatre, in the period of 1930s to the 1950s.
Here I show 3 photos from the book,
Titled «Leon Frantzis: Photographs of Greek Actors, 1937-1946» Leon Frantzis with his Rolleiflex in hand, gave to his photos an artistic nature. All the portraits of the actors are in respect to their performing roles.
His work is interesting, it is different due to his personal aspect. It has a flare of the magic of cinema, But creates a strict perception of the Greek ancient theater.
