I am having a bad stretch. First PE and now Kenny Rogers. Thanks to my friend John Sexton I met Kenny 35 years ago. Through the years we have been on camping trips, photo shoots, video shoots, book signings, openings, back stage at concerts, and just hanging out. Lynne and I were back stage guests in 2015 at one of his Farewell Tour Concerts. With Kelly J. we joked about some of our past adventures. He was a talented photographer and always kind to everyone.

Was a cool dude.

Plenty of loss these days. We all knew something of the the public Kenny Rogers but I'm sure the real person was even more interesting and engaging. I had no idea he was a serious photographer.

It's been numerous years now that I had donated to our local library many of my purchased photographic books. One was in fact a Kenny Rogers book of portraiture's made up of many entertainment folks he knew. If my memory serves me right he used a 8x10 large format camera.

Some of his work looks finely seen and printed to a high standard. Given how passionate he was about photographer, this isn't surprising. Plus, he seemed liked a good guy.
