was at my local pubic library this weekend and
thumbed my way eagerly through the hard cover library edition
of the "american photo booth" book. a beautifuly done history of
the birth and use of the photo booth, begining as a machine to
make tintypes to what it turned into,
its FULL of single prints and strips, of the well known and unknown
well printed and well written.
AND well worth the paperback 17$ found in the jungles of brazil ...

got me poking around this site for the link to the website that shows the inner workings
of a photo both and the 6 or 7 or is it 8 chemical tanks and the humming and clicking
of the music the innards made.

anyone bump into the link, or remember what website hosted it ? the film was bout 7 minutes long...

i found the apug link in the old resources page, but it doesn't work anymore
and i went to the Dead Link Removed website and it was vanished and
the worldwide list seems to have fallen asleep

I remember watching the exact film on line that you mention!

A quick google around with different phrases has put up a few links but none to the actual one I think I saw, Some of them do show the inner workings but don't explain what all the chemicals are, which I'd like to know.

But then again, I've just ordered the book you mention as it sounds really interesting and I haven't bought a photo book in... well at least a few weeks LOL :D

Links found:

And here's one booth you might not want to go into, LOL...

If I come across the real link I'll pop it on here.

Strange enough the photobooth.org site is not even in the internet archive.
