My Photo Therm is a Sidekick Model SK-4H similar to the SK-4G which was upgraded from a FP-1 in 2003 by Photo-Therm.
Since E-6 chemicals are presently extinct in Canada, impossible to ship from the US as kits due to the liquids.
I am leaning towards Kodak Ektar 100 Film & the Tetenal C-41 Press Kit for Color Negative Film (Powder)
which is easily available from B&H & no problem for shipping to Canada..
I have always processed E-6, 7 step until now with the unit.
The Photo-Therm is programmed for 7 step chemistry for E-6 & 4 Step for C-41, I can not find the way to set it for 3 step processing for the C-41.
I did send a email to Photo-Therm, no reply.
If anyone could help out with programming the unit or the chip/ module itself would be great or at least eliminate or skip the Fix Step in the 4 Step Process for C-41.
Thanks

As I understand it, you need to get a new chip from Phototherm.

I believe that they will either charge you ($110?) for a newly programmed chip, or exchange a newly programmed chip for your existing chip at little or no charge.

Try reaching them on the telephone.

Thanks Matt,
What if I just place water where the Fix is supposed to be, for a 6 minute extra wash.
I do not think it will effect the quality of the C-41 process, just a longer wait.
