Market stalls.
On Saturday, Porotbello Road market, particularly Juliano. On Sunday, Brick Lane and the FilmsNotDead stall.
If you come on those days, let me know (PM me) and I'll be at hand.

Brick and mortar shops are very few, but look for Mr. Cad near Vauxhall Road and the London Camera Exchange shop in the Strand.

For film, the best is Process Supplies in Mount Pleasant just in front of the Royal Mail headquarters off Rosebery Avenue.
Westend Cameras in Tottenham Court Road are a bit more expensive, but are open on Saturdays if my memory doesn't fail and are near "tourist areas".

We stopped by the Film's Not Dead stall last time we were in London and it was really great. It's a fun adventure just finding it, then we had a nice conversation with the lovely young woman in charge (who was busily repairing light seals on a camera when we walked up). Good selection of cameras and other retro-photo stuff, My girlfriend bought a funky Soviet 35mm and I narrowly avoided buying all of the books on display.

Not normally know for selling second-hand cameras.

Calumet near Euston Station do usually have a selection of secondhand cameras, although these are ordinarily of the digital variety.

Of interest to a film user, however, is that this Calumet location seems to stock a large variety of films. I've stopped in several times before catching a train back up to Glasgow to buy some Portra, Fuji 400H, and Fuji Neopan 400CN.

Yeap, they also used to do rentals, especially lenses if I'm not mistaken.
Their film prices are high.
I passed with a friend today by the Soho shop and my friend was complaining that Fuji Superia 200 was £8, more expensive than the £5 for Tri-X.

I can't comment on their prices for 135 film, but their prices for 120 are usually pretty competitive. For instance, you'd be hard-pressed to find Kodak Portra 400 or Fuji 400H cheaper anywhere else in the UK at £22.

They still do rentals too, although Hasselblad V-series cameras, lenses, and accessories seemed to have disappeared over the last few months, unfortunately. They did offer them as recently as last year.

I hope that is the price for a 5 pack of 120 films and not a single roll.

Yes, but some shops do sell them individually.

So in the end there was not enough time for shopping, but at least the chance to shoot a few rolls.

What was nice too: I was walking with my Spotmatic somewhere close to Earl's Court and a guy en passant commented that it's nice to see a real camera.
