By the way, besides describing a simple and effective pinhole camera, this entry describes two of Joe's innovations that are really handy:

• a simple "platform" to hold a camera on a tripod, with cup hooks and bungee cords.
• the idea of having a divided storage compartment in the back of the camera.

I've "borrowed" both of these ideas from Joe. I use my platform often with lots of different cameras. It took all of 5 minutes to make and is very useful.

Thanks for that presentation Joe. I really liked the 'inner storage box' 5X7 concept. With this system one could pack a complete set up in a medium suitcase with trays, chemicals, contact printer, and other necessary stuff for a extended vacation. I see Freestyle has their RC grade 2 5X7 in a package of 250 sheets for $76, even with shipping that is about 70 cents per print for 125 prints, not too shabby.

My favorite camera built to date is my Whitman Chocolate box camera. I hear ya, found object cameras are the most fun!

I usually pick up a couple of new camera boxes during the Christmas season. Cookie and candy tins are my favorites, and the big popcorn tins are useful, too!
