Well, since the Photo Lab Index is a mainstay of B&W chemistry info, this is likely the best place for this topic, so here goes.

I have a lifetime edition, the one with update supplements. and the latest supplement I see is 122. I'm curious what and when the last supplement was issued.

Does anyone know the last supplement number? If not, what's the latest you PLI owners have in yours?

Thanks,

Steve

The latest I have is 174 (1984). Agfa Film and papers. The whole book was given to me when my friend closed his camera store after 49 years.

I had one in the early 1970s and it had lots of typographical errors. I discarded it.

my last supplement is 198 and was the last one i received. However, at one time you could download number 200 from their website.

Just acquired Photo Lab Index

I just picked up a 1973 version of this binder with, it appears, all the pages in perfect shape. It was free at a local garage sale. How useful is this document? I've already got both Cookbooks as well as a bunch of other photo technology books. Is this just a historical curiosity or doe it contain something that other sourced don't?

The Lab Index is useful but like the Cookbooks contains errors in it. It is worth cross checking formulae with the manufacturers own published versions.

Unfortunately the mistakes and typos in the Lab Index have been perpetuated in other US publications over the years.

Kodak formulae can be found in their publications like "Kodak Referance Manual" and the various editions of "The Ilford Manual of Photography" are the definitive source fo Ilford formulae, similar publications can be found for other manufacturers.
