Search on Photrio only shows a few mentions but nothing being discussed. And this may seem like a sponsored article. It isn't but quick search of the net will reveal a high praise and in my opinion deservedly so.
Photo Klassik International is the English language version of its German sibling. It was a Kickstarter campaign to get it off the ground too.
I was introduced to it by accident and immediately fell overwhelmed. At this point there have been 5 issues published, it is a quarterly with per issue or subscription based delivery. Prices include shipping and vary by destination. All 5 issues are still available for purchase.
Main reason for bringing it up is the quality of content with 100% analog dedication. Variety of authors/contributors from young & beautiful to old, grumpy & ugly make it a pub for everyone (interested and/or curious about traditional photography).
Paper quality is top, images are well chosen, articles cover everything from equipment, to composition and processing with industry news thrown in as well. Very few ads in between, which makes it so much fuller as a reader's magazine. Plain fun to go through and no side skipping into pixeloworld.
I do hope this is a sustainable effort, not cheap, yet so needed. Since subscription pricing is not overly aggressive, I'm sticking to issue by issue direct purchase for now.
