The more people that join in, the cheaper it is.

I do have prices but it will not be possible to order cut sheets in small quantities unless a LOT of people want the same size sheets. The stuff can be cut to any size in red light in rolls--getting rolls allows the most people to order the same item and allows them to cut it to any size they want. But then the shipping for a roll will still be prohibitive since the sheets will have to be shipped separately--so it makes no sense to order cut sheets. If there is a market, then slavich may start offering it to dealers in cut sheet sizes which will drive down the cost. right now, it costs plenty when you want small quantities since they have to basically do an entire production run---if such a run is large, then the costs go down. For a paltry few meters of paper, the costs are steep--still not out of the ballpark, but shipping about triples the cost (to usa). It would only be cost feasible at this point to order a larger roll to one central usa location and then send it out from there.

Sad that nobody wants to even try the stuff out because of the hint that it may cost as much as proper quality film.

For sure nobody will even try it if it's offered for sale here by dealers--untill "someone that matters" shoots miley with it---THEN it'll be in high demand.

I use paper negatives all the time and it would be interesting to try something that fast. There was a thread not that long ago where someone was asking if 100 ISO paper was possible... I think someone mentioned the idea of photo booth paper, but was thinking of the little strip sizes like used to come out of those machines. Wider rolls are more interesting.

I'm interested but would be reluctant to shell out lots of $$ for something I'm not sure I'd use.

I am not seeing any hard data to base interest on. That because my interest is directly connected to total all up price to put the paper to use.
Could we have some real numbers as an operating base? We have that with the Eastman double X where we know it will take 200 boxes of 4 x 5 to meet Eastman's minimum cut and package threshold. Cost estimate of minimum buy is $100 per 50 sheet box.
Also thinking of purchase roll and cut. You them must need pack at this end.
Figure three things.. Time, Materials, and some percentage over to cover the 'happenings'. Often much cheaper to buy packaged by the maker who is equipped for it.
Triple nesting film boxes, 120 reels etc are not handy in stock items.

with shipping (just to the first us destination) it comes to $43.40 / square meter in the roll form when buying a 10 meter roll.

if more is bought, it becomes cheaper. with no shiping the cost is $15.95 per square meter--so you see the shipping is the real deal breaker. But if enough people join in, we can maybe get the cost down somewhere reasonable.

you can compare this to the going rate of kodak tri-x at about $18.00 per square meter in bulk minimum order. NOte this is the price without shipping.
