Phoenix P 2 anyone

Just bought a new in the box Phoenix P 2 with 35 to70mm in K mount, and flash. The flash seems to be made in Singapore the body and zoom I guess China. I need another k mount like a hole in my head, but got the kit for $10.00. This may another brand for the Promaster or Vivitari. found an ok review on an Old Shutterbug review in 2000, other seems to hate it. Anyone with any experience?

Japanese Phoenix and chinese Phenix cameras... That is confusing.

I got the Phoenix P2, made in Japan as is the 35 to 70 lens that came with it, may have been made by Chinon as the automation works the same as the ME 4, aperture priority without the need of A lens, works with K mount or M 42 in stopped down metering. The seems accurate, at least at midday. Top shutter speed 1/3000 in auto mode 1/2000 in manual mode. No depth of preview, set the ISO manually.
