Not a bad way to spend an hour or so.

I've been to a number of these in Trevose, and usually enjoy browsing even if I don't wind up buying things. It's good for filters and the occasional accessory part. Nice to be among people who like equipment like this. Outragous prices being asked for the Russian gear, but one Zorki is quite enough. If I hit the lottery before the next one ...

When is the next Detroit show?

I live in Toledo area (Pemberville), but spend weekends with my SO in Dearborn.

I missed it again.

A family member was having minor surgery two days after the event, so discretion being the better part of a viable hobby, I passed it up this time.

I have found filters there at great prices, a very useful multi-focal-length viewfinder (not a turret type) at a price much less than a Tewe finder, and a few other things over the years. I have drooled over old leicas that looked pretty clean, and walked away from Soviet equipment being offered at ridiculously high prices.

Next time, I'll check this forum and see who might be going.

Jeff, I usually wander over to Trevose when the Photoramas are in town. IMO this month's show was abysmal. In other words, nothing at all that spoke to me.
