Does anyone know how the portrait and projection styles of Petzval lenses differ, apart from the projection lens not having any iris/aperture ? Thanks

Doesn't the name 'Petzval' refer to the actual optical design - which therefore should fundamentally be the same across all lenses carrying the name? There are of course different focal lengths, and as you said, lenses without aperture, with an iris and slotted for Waterhouse stops, as well as lenses with a helicoid for (fine) focus adjustments. AFAIK at least - correct me if I'm wrong.
