Hi all,
I have just won on ebay a Pentax Z1 with a 28-80 SMC AF power zoom (this lens seems to get a lot of bad press on the internet).

Does anyboby know if Pentax ever made any AF prime lens to go with this camera?, so far i seem to have drawn a blank on this one.

There are lots of AF zooms that are compatible but no AF primes.

I know that the K mount evolved over the years so maybe AF primes lens to suite this camera are rare.
Hope someone can help with this thanks to all.
Graham.

When Pentax (Ricoh) introduced their full frame digital camera they reintroduced a new line up of FA zooms, a few primes remain on the market at well, used Pentax prime lens can be quite expensive. The Pentax 50mm limited edition lens is quite sharp, likely one of the sharpest primes ever made. I dont have any power zooms, but my Pentax kits are very good lens at not much cost. Also I belive that the Z1 will work with manual focus K lens and with an adapter M42 screw mounts, but you need to be careful as some Pentax film cameras will work with KA and later lens.

Thank you for your reply on Pentax prime lens
