Realizing some of our folks here may not use Minolta gear (please see my Minolta Special post from earlier today), I'm happy to expand the offer to include Pentax users. Essentially I'm on a mission (a) to put your camera back on "the dark side" before you go on vacation and (b) to prevent me from being blown to smithereens while cooking some hot dogs. (again please see the Minolta post and picture of the barbeque grill I've nicknamed "the widowmaker") And by the way, what is the singular form of smithereens?
What's the deal? Well, if you have a Pentax ME Series camera (including MV, Super Program, etc) or a Pentax Spotmatic (any of the variants of that series) send me $8 and I'll send you a light seal kit while 20 of these kits last. You won't get instructions with this special, but I'll email them to you so you can do the work from your computer screen or print the instructions if you prefer. The $8 is valid no matter where you live, and US residents please mail check, cash or money order while international buyers will be given a PayPal address to use. Please limit yourself to 3 kits or bribe me generously under the table.
Now some of you may be thinking "what was the comment about Andy and which Andy is he talking about?" It was Andy Warhol who said something like "In the future everyone will have their fifteen minutes of fame." One of the seal kits in this group has a red sticker on it. It will be selected at random due to the kits being stored vertically in a cardboard tube. The purchaser of this kit will receive an item which should provide fame as long as my directions are followed. They'll receive the silver Chivas Regal money clip shown below and it could make you unforgettable in the eyes of several people. How? Well, just carry it onto the next flight you take. According to the TSA website last updated 5/13, you'll soon be able to do this legally. Smile at all the TSA people and be courteous. Once the flight takes off, stand up, extend the knife blade from your money clip and wave it around while loudly proclaiming you're looking for the one-armed man. The plane should land very shortly. You'll be escorted to jail, but whatever you do, don't let them take your money clip away from you. See the other blade? That's your "get out of jail secret". It was designed to be a fingernail file, but I've already tested it and it seemed to be making some progress on a paper clip. I'd request a minimum security prison if I were you.
Don't hold back. Your camera will thank you. If questions, please ask.
