Pentax LX body and FA-1 standard finder, which was recently (January) repaired for sticky mirror and some meter issues by Eric Hendrickson. Since getting it back I’ve not had any problems with it, and the LX is a fantastic camera to use. I’ll spare a rant on its merits and faults since I’m sure most of you are familiar by now. Aesthetically one can tell this is a well used camera, with some paint being worn and the finder housing being dented from when it took a fall, this hasn’t affected the viewfinder or prism at all from what I can tell. I’m shipping it with a nifty 50/1.7 SMC-A as a body cap, it’s a bit hazey. 450 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.
Credit for clearly disclosing its condition in fine sharp pics, but I do think price asked as way above its value. That repair invoice is not really helping IMO.
His website is Pentaxs.com. In the US he’s considered the go-to for Pentax repairs, and he’s no longer accepting LX cameras to the best of my knowledge, hence my inclusion of the invoice and repair. If you don’t think that’s the value of the camera feel free to make an offer.
He messed up my LX. Got it returned with a broken mirror lock up assembly whereas it was working when I sent it to him. Explanation 'sorry broke it, no parts to repair'.
Also my finger grip went 'missing'. That is now an $80 part.
He apparently has someone working for him, and unloads work to him. Because he claimed the other guy did it.
