I've accumulated too many cameras over the past couple of years and my Pentax KX is not getting the use it deserves.
The camera is in excellent shape with a small bit of brassing on the edges of the top/bottom plates.
It was given a full CLA by Eric Hendrickson in December 2022. I've only shot a few rolls of film with it since it returned.
The only issue with the camera is that the meter does not always turn on reliably. Eric said that the meter needs a new 'meter movement' but he didn't have one on-hand when servicing the camera. He did say that the meter could be activated by tapping the top of the camera, but the meter movement is what it needs so that the meter turns on as it should. Other than that, everything on the camera works as expected.
This camera has the split-image focusing screen which was a factory-installed, special order option on the KX (I believe it was standard on the K2). From my reading, this is fairly rare to find in the KX and was only installed on about 10% of cameras.
A K-mount body cap is included (not branded 'Pentax').
