How's your water situation? I moved to New Mexico from Anacortes, just south of you, so am familiar with your part of BC. Tend to have a little more sunshine here, which is good for photography.I love the K1000. It's what I cut my photographic teeth on, back in the 80's. Still have it. Still use it.

Water situation as in drinking? It's fine. Water from the sky? Rivers in the sky! Too much! I'm originally from Saskatchewan, which gets blue sky and sunshine most of the time. I don't think I'll ever get used to these dark, gray, wet winters. It does make photography a challenge!
I think you'll find that that weather is a Santa's Bag of never ending opportunity.
While the Western third of Washington State, with the Gulf of Japan bringing mostly mild Winters, the dogs, clouds, and landscape in general was, to me, a cornucopia of photographic experiences, and I still feel some of my best work was done there almost 45 years ago.
Perhaps you'll be able to get out and enjoy the changing days of your new home with camera in hand and haunt the weather from morning to last light, in the future
Godspeed and Good Luck.
Actually, we first moved to a blue hole in Tacoma in the late '80s, and moved back to the blue hole of the San Juans two decades later, but the weather has changed considerably. It used to start raining on Oct 1, like clockwork. Now it starts raining in early September. It used to stop misting in May. Now it actually rains, and doesn't stop until July. Yes, there are plenty of opportunities, particularly going up to the Cascades, as one or two cloud layers break, leaving just two more layers of clouds between you and the sun. I found that I was increasingly suffering from SAD.I think you'll find that that weather is a Santa's Bag of never ending opportunity.

Your photograph is a very nice example of what I am talking about with regard to cloud layers. btw, I know Delta, and Richmond (for Vancouver Bullion Exchange), and White Rock, where we shopped periodically for Marmite and Dilmah tea. Having Nexus cards, we made special trips monthly to eat at Hope Drive In, whose owners retired a few years ago. Great food, and where I took a snap of a warning sign in Hope's town park warning visitors to beware of falling branches while walking under the trees. Hope has a community curling rink, and we pictured robust and healthy Canadian women earnestly practicing their sweeping skills. This (from a couple of years ago) is just down the road from where Andrew lives:

Probably about the same sort of near misery that the November rains usually bring, along with the resilient stuff that that community seems to manage as well. And what happened to the 'residents' of Vancouver's Downtown East Side during those torrential rains a week ago?
So, are you saying that you want to buy it? This is a small, and very rugged, camera. How about if I pack it with enough material to fill a Medium (or Large if necessary) Flat Rate Priority USPS box. Bubble wrap, and maybe crumpled paper around that if it is needed to make the box rigid. $20 over the asking price.Sorry, I'm new here. What is a PM? Sorry for change of mind, for your asking price I am not interested. It is up for grabs to whomever wants it now.So, are you saying that you want to buy it? This is a small, and very rugged, camera.
