This Pentax 1 deg digital spot meter works perfectly. It was bought originally by my father-in-law, and I have been using it to date, so owned by just 2 people. Always well cared for. No issues. Back in the day people would send their meters to Zone VI to be calibrated. The paper scale on the meter and the Zone VI case would suggest this meter was one of those. I did not send mine in for this extra work and it always gave excellant results. And still does today.

The Zone VI modified meters were labelled as such. The Zone scale and the holster were both availlable for sale through Fred Picker's catalog.....

Just FYI for anyone, Richard Ritter in Vermont will still calibrate and repair these meters.

I wondered whether it was modified by Fred Picker, but the absence of a label makes me think not. Still, the present day ability to send it in for mod and calibration is good news for anyone interested. Thanks.

To my knowledge R Ritter does not modify the filter pack (as on the earlier Z6 mod models) but does repair & calibrate them.
