Hello !

A friend offered to me a Pentax SuperA's exposure meter to replace that of my Spotmatic F. Does this one perform on the Spotmatic, or it isn't the good model ?

If you have a guide to replace the exposure meter, it can help me

Nope... Unless you mean using the Super A itself as a light meter and then setting the values on the Spotmatic (why???)

*Maybe* if you're an expert mechanic, you could somehow get the Super A's meter to fit (but that would go for just about any camera's meter) by massively modifying all kinds of things... Really not worth it!

What's wrong with the Spotmatic's meter?

Are you sure that light meter is busted? I had to wrap some isolation tape around the battery to get allegedly non-working SP meter working with AG3 cell.
The battery compartment walls are metal, + contact is in the bottom. And battery construction is reverse of old style wide minus-narrow plus design. So I needed just to isolate battery sides. Maybe it's the same case?
On SP1000 for example the compartment walls are plastic, so no tape needed.

The seller told me when I bought it that it doesn't work, and I tested it, not a reaction.
And I'm not an expert mechanic !

I'll test ! Now, I don't have the camera near me !
I'll answer after the test and tell you.
