Pentax 6x7 lenes on a Hasselblad Body

Does anyone know of an adapter to put a Pentax 6x7 lens on a Hasselblad 200 or 2000 series camera? (Before anyone says you need a shutter in the lens, the 200 & 2000 Hasselblad cameras are focal plane shutter cameras).

The Pentax 6x7 lens mount register is 84.95mm.

The Hasselblad 200 & 2000 mount register is 74.90mm.

That's about 10mm of spacing to spare.

I've been searching eBay & Google with no luck.

Easy to do

All you need is a hassy lens mounting block， which is essentially a block of alluminum threaded inthe center to mount hassy micro lenses. Have a machinist fix a pentax camera mount at the proper distance on to the block and you are ready to go.in those days when hassy lenses were beyond the reach of any but the very wealth I used these blocks to mount leica， kilfit，and zeiss sonnars on my 2000fcm. They work perfectly. Sometimes a 90mm elmar is a lot easier to carry than the 80mm hassy lens. Have fun!

I've seen pentax 67's with hassy mounts on ebay coming out of japan several times. The opposite of what you need but they look well done. There's someone there with the know how if you're willing to risk what they'll do to your camera. Good luck.

That's my plan B. SK Grimes doesn't need the aluminum block, they can CNC a Hasselblad mount very quickly. I'm hoping I can just buy one.

Thanks, but that's backwards. I don't need to put a Hasselblad lens on a Pentax 6x7, I need to put a Pentax 6x7 lens on a Hasselblad. I've seen the converted Pentax 6x7 bodies. Quite expensive.

the guy doing these conversions could most likely do the opposite for you if you asked, rather than $kgrime$.

Its a little more complicated, the 67 lenses have a larger barrel diameter, and the Hasselblad lens mount requires the lens barrel be under a certain diameter for the 1st cm or so to clear the body. A while ago I looked into converting some nice 67 lenses (ie: the 165mm f/2.8) for the 2000 series cameras, and I think the conclusion was that you needed to machine the barrel of the 67 lens down, and attach a hasselblad bayonet.

There is more clearance on the 202fa body as it does not have the shutter speed ring, so you may be able to make an adapter for that body.

Ah, you are right! I measured the shutter ring height on my 2000FC/M and it is about 3.85mm tall. I took my Pentax 6x7 135mm lens and placed it over the Hasselblad and the Pentax bayonet is too wide for the shutter ring and will not focus to infinity.

So the Pentax lens would have to modded itself to work on a Hasselblad 200 or 2000 camera. Any adapter would be for macro only as infinity focus would be lost. Case closed.

Update: I decided to just get a Pentax 6x7 rather than adapt it. I can easily crop the 6x7 neg to 6x6 or 645. I obtained a non functional 6x7 body and sent it to Erick Henderson for an overhaul. It came back in perfect condition . I'm still on the hunt for a 6x7 600mm lens. In the meantime I picked up a number of 6x7 lenses and I am learning how to handle this big brute.

^ It's a pleasure to have some of these older threads updated . I've recently acquired a 6x6 projector and am in the hunt for a
Bronica 6X6 to take full advantage of it . Trimming 6X7 or 6X9 positives to fit just seems wrong ! So I'm going in reverse .

Why not a classic TLR Rollei? That will make great 6x6 slides for your projector.

At one time I owned no fewer than 4 Yashicamats (call me nuts) and I enjoyed each one of them , but I have a hard time with being locked into just one focal length . Light and dependable and fine optics (really fine lens), but in the end I have to accept that I'm an SLR kinda guy .( But it'll be a while before I sell off my Mamiya 7 kit ) . Horses for courses as they say.
