Hello,
I found today a korean site that showed a P67 with a Zeiss lens adapter - no other info. I would be very interested in trying Zeiss glass on my P67. Anyone know if this combination would work, and or potential problems -
Regards, Paul

Do you have a URL for the adapter? I wonder which lenses it uses -- Hasselblad or Rollei or something else?

In any case, usually the first thing you lose is open-aperture metering. The next thing you usually lose is automatic aperture.

There also is the secondary issue of whether a lens intended for 6x6 would cover 6x7. You might get some vignetting in the corners. Or possibly the lens would be fine.

Sounds interesting, nonetheless.

HI!

I don't know the lens mount to film plane distance for neither of those cameras, but since they have different film formats (6x6 vs. 6x7) you might experience a lack of infinity focus. To prevent that the adapter could be fitted with an extra lens element that might have a negative impact on picture quality. The same problem occurs when mounting a M42 or other 35mm system lenses on a Nikon camera.

These guys make adaptors for fitting the Zeiss lenses on a P67

The East German Carl Zeiss Jena medium format lenses had a good reputation and I remember using a couple of them in the late 70's early 80's on a Bronica S2a. Bronica sourced lenses from a number of other companies and they were all excellent.

The Bronica - Zeiss lenses were optically identical to the Pentacon 6 Zeiss lenses.
