Hi, I recently bought a really nice Pentax 67 setup. I took it to Vegas and was shooting both 120 and 220 film. Sometimes the camera did not recognize that I was using 220 film. It thought I had loaded 120, thus stopping when it reached 10 exposures. The pressure plate was adjusted properly.
Anyone have any experience with these cameras? I have never used one until now. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
On the side of the camera (shutter advance side) there is a switch you turn and this changes the winder from 10 to 20 exposure so it will keep winding past 10 with 220 film.
Hmmm,
I don't see any switch like you describe. My camera is a Pentax 67II.
The only thing I can see to do, and the only thing the manual refers to is moving the pressure plate inside the film door.
Maybe this switch was on the older models?
It also seems to be an intermittent problem. It only sometimes doesn't recognize the 220 film. This tells me it is probably an electronics problem.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
I have never had this issue with my MkII, but you are right, there is no selector switch on this version. There is a little window on the back that will read 120 or 220, have you checked that it is reading correctly? You might not have the pressure plate set quite right.
