Recentley found and immediately bought.
It seems less brilliant and maybe shady than 55 mm. I didn't found its hood which I'm still loking for and could this effect depend by this lack?

None who sell a 67 4omm hood?

Thanks,
apeiron

I believe the lens is 45mm f/4.0, right? Have you tried www.KEH.com for a hood? I have one and I use it all the time. It's my understanding that the 55mm is newer and perhaps a bit better than the 45mm lens. However, I have not found any faults with the 45mm lens. Ever. It is a fantastic lens. Examples in my Gruene, Texas gallery. The interior photos of Gruene Hall and Mr. Gruene's Office were all made with the 45mm lens.

Someday perhaps I will find an affordable copy of the latest 55mm lens.

Enjoy your lens. It is a keeper.

The 45 mm is a great lens. You could just buy a cheap generic wide angle hood.

Yes, sure, Venchka. It's a 45mm, of course:confused:

No, never looked at site you say. Thanks for recommendation, I'm going to look for the hood there.

Absolutely with you, Jerold. It's a great lens.

No hood for 45mm Pentax to KEH.com.
Any other suggestion, please? Where could I try?

Thanks,
Joseph

Thanks Venchka, I saw it.
I looked for it in Europe but it seems cheaper in USA and I pass to order it there.
Thanks again

A friend of mine bought a cheap, normal lens shade, then filed it down to a petal shape.

Works fine, and with a little black marker pen, it looks like a bought one!

Lost a Pentax 67/45mm hood from KEH.com.
Please, any other site where I can try to find the lens hood?
Thanks and my best regards for the new year

Sorry about your loss. I think KEH will email you when they get another hood. Talk to them. Ask them to send you an email when they have a hood.

In the meantime, if you can find an inexpensive folding rubber hood with 82mm threads, try it. If the hood is too long, carefully cut some away until it doesn't block any light. It may look ugly, but it may be better than no hood.

Use the lens without a hood. Keep the sun at your back. Use anything handy to shade the lens: walls, columns, trees, anything. It works.

Thanks Venchka, how are you?
I wrote to KEH about 15 days ago for another question but no answer is arrived.
Are you sure they ship in Europe?
Good your suggestion for a temporary rubber hood. I got one but unfortunately not 82 mm

I have no idea if KEH ship to Europe. You may have to call them on the phone to get information faster.
