Hi Guys,

Thank you for reading this. I bought an pentacon six tl and it had some issuses. I fixed some of them.(shutter speeds stuck) gab between shutter blinds. There is only one thing I can't fix right now. If I put film in that camera and try to advance it, it doesnt lock the film spool after advancing. So it goes right back, when I release the lever.

I attached a short video, where you can see the gear that is attached to the spool going backwards again.

I would love to fix that camera with your help, it should be very simple, just something very little that I keep on overlooking.

I would really appreciate your help.

Most cameras will have a pawl that engages the sprocket drive to prevent going backwards, sometimes
the old oil on the pivot will dry out & not engage.

Well thank you, i found the pawl you were talking about. I didn't look inside the casing. It is as you said it just a simple mechanism, it was placed upside down from the last person, who "repaired" it.

That pawl as pictured is installed correctly. However, when you drop the shutter body into the camera shell, the pawl needs to be rotated clockwise and held in that position as the shutter body is slid into place.
