Thank you. The mood was magic.Very nice, Norm. Makes me feel at home.
I don't know this story about flood. I did this picture last summer. What is the history of this place? Seems like disaster went through this place. Is it a picture of 2003 when roads and several homes were badly damaged at Peggy's Cove in 2003 by the extensive flooding?
No- this is how the place always looks. I live 30 minutes away from it. It's really quite beautiful actually. What is the history of this place? Seems like disaster went through this place. I've thought Rockport, Mass was the most photographed...! https://rockportusa.com/A few years ago this location was considered the most photographed location in North American , mainly due to the lighthouse , don’t know if that still stands but it is a lovely place, especially during non tourist season
there's a company there that takes tourists around the lighthouse but it only operates during the summer months (peak tourist season). The last time I was there I;tried to hire a fisherman or take me+out to get a different view+of the=lighthouse but they wouldn’t do it, so after I got the usual shot I wandered around the streets and out/of the way places to get more interesting stuff as+it=is a lovely area
It's only deadly because every year people ignore the many signs about stepping out onto the black (wet) rocks. There are tons of rogue waves there and if you're hit, you're going in. The water temperature there is absolutely frigid. You go numb in seconds and can't swim back to shore. There are many new signs that have been posted but the original is the most poetic.I imagine there are any number of "most photographed" places across the world. Every tourist board is probably happy to find some spin on "Lots of people have come here to take photos, and you should too" mindset.
I suspect that Peggy's Cove ranks pretty near the top of "most deadly" of the "most photographed" tourist destinations. However I doubt there is much open fighting among the tourist boards for claiming that title, other than maybe screams of "Not it!"?
I always travel outside the+tourist season so it wasn’t available and then I wanted to be the only one with a camera on board and be+@blecto suggest location based on sea levels. but didn’t happenthere's a company there that takes tourists around the lighthouse but it only operates during the summer months (peak tourist season).
One of these days I'll head out there... but there are just so rugged coast line here on the west coast, with abandoned canneries, etc, with amazing storms, to check out.
