PEC - 12 Available anywhere?

Hello - New to this forum and this will be my first post. I have a bunch of older 35 mm , Medium Format negatives and slides that have been stored in the wrong place and have developed Fungus spots. It appears the the PEC - 12 solution is no longer made. I know Kodak recommends 98% Isopropel Alcohol. But was going to try the P E C stuff. Anyone know of a current source for this product? Thanks much....

Why do you think it's no longer made?
As far as I can see you can buy it on amazon or ebay or wherever you buy photo stuff from
if you mention which country you're in I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction

According to B & H and Sammy's in the US, it's no longer available. Thanks, I will check out Amazon.

Welcome to APUG. My suggestion would be to sell this (with clear explanations of course) - many lomography people are willing to pay a lot more than you think.
Then from the profit buy some fresh film and enjoy.

What is wrong with following Kodak's advice. Isopropyl alcohol is a good solvent even for such things as greasy fingerprints. As far as I can see you only lose a fancy price for the PEC-12. I would suggest trying the alcohol first and if then dissatisfied looking for the other product.

Personally, I would try isopropyl alcohol first.

Thank's all for the replies. I will probably try the Isopropyl 98%. Can't get this (98%) at the local drug store, but will locate it locally somewhere. I read a thread somewhere advising that "DRY GAS" , sold at auto parts stores is just 98% alcohol. This may be my solution....

Costco sells it in the US and Canada (in our area).

Please use lens tissue during the cleaning process or you'll end up having to glass mount scratched slides like me.

Pure alcohol (Ethanol) is typically expensive due to liquor-tax, thus you would get likely for cheap something with unknown repellant added.

Pure Isopropyl-alcohol (Iso-Propanol) you likely would get at a pharmacy.
