Is there anyone in the UK who rebuilds this Pentacon lens all it needs is the aperture blades reassembling .The rest of the lens is assembled and in good order .Thanks
Is it necessary to be located in the UK? If not, have a look at Fotoservice Olbrich (www.fotoservice-olbrich.de). I am very, very pleased with the service they provide.
The aperture blades have different ends and pin position. It should be fairly easy to determine which end goes in which ring. Once done the blades lay in picking any starting point and laying one over the previous with the last few sliding under the others as their holes are covered by the other blades until all blades are in place then the other ring in laid in place and secured. The blades lay on in a counter clockwise (anti clockwise) direction.
You could do a lot worse than contact the following repairer:-
Camera Repair Workshop Address: 9 Wharfside, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 2AZ, UK

I have had a Rodagon 2.8/50mm APO enlarging lens which was corroding inside and a Minolta XM (X1 in the US) both were given a full service by him with superb results. Especially the camera. The turn around time is about 5-7 working days and his prices are quite reasonable. The company seems to be one person only but he is always very obliging.
Diverting slightly, when Minolta left the marketplace, he bought all the spares available in the UK and is possibly the best repairer to take this make of camera to be fixed.
