Once you have set up a workshop with everything you need, temptations keep coming.
For example, in the form of this case with two test devices: the Peak LCR45 Passive Component Impedance Meter and the Peak DCA75 Semiconductor Analyzer:
These can be used to test numerous electronic components and determine their values.
As I already use the Peak ESR70 - Atlas ESR Gold - Equivalent Series Resistance Meter to test electrolytic capacitors to my complete satisfaction, I am looking forward to the two additional test devices.
They will help me to identify and check electronic components in my 80s photo equipment, of which there are still plenty.
This is also important for obtaining replacements, as component values are often only sparsely specified in the service manuals.
I will present the two test devices in action during the next repair projects.
