SOLD

This is a well-used Peak focusing device. While not a beauty queen, it agrees with a second known-good Peak focuser.

Before it came into my hands some bozo tried to "clean" the front-surface mirror, creating numerous fine scratches. While it was usable (though ugly), I replaced it with a new front-surface mirror. The mechanical design of the focuser indexes off the front surface (surprise!) so any difference in mirror thickness makes no difference; since the new mirror was thinner I shimmed the back. If you choose to remove these shims (not recommended) you'll need a JIS #2 bit - these are NOT Philips-head screws and using a Philips bit will mangle them.

The photos show the unit before I replaced the mirror. The surface of the new mirror has none of the streaks and spots of the old one.

Asking $125 shipped in the US. PayPal G&S is fine.

A Very Nice Tool that looks able to carry on another fifty years.

Good luck!

In response to an inquiry, shipping to Italy is $68, and should be pretty much the same to all of Western Europe. Since I figured US shipping at $15, the price shipped to Western Europe is $178.
