I have used the pds prism for years and find it to be as accurate as any center weighted meter I have used.

That perhaps is because the one you got said it all?

I only know the prism from many years ago.
Can't remember anything good or bad about it. So it probably worked o.k.

How accurate is the meter in the PDS prism? I have an M645 that has the standard prism but there is some seperation so I need to replace it. It would be nice not to have to use my hand held meter.

I have the M645 with the PDS prism which I purchased about 3 years ago for the same reason--separation in the standard finder. It works very well, very accurate and yes, much nicer than having to use the hand held meter when you're in a rush. The downside--MAKE SURE YOU TURN IT OFF AFTER USE!!! It's powered by the same 6v battery that powers the body and it will eat though those expensive batteries very quickly.
